Resources for Traumatic Brain Injury
A traumatic brain injury can result from any jolt or violent blow to the head or body. Other causes of traumatic brain injury can include any object that penetrates the brain tissue, such as a broken piece of the skull or bullet.
Mild traumatic brain injury may affect your brain cells temporarily but more serious traumatic brain injuries can result in torn tissues, bruising, bleeding and permanent physical damage to the brain. These injuries can result in disabilities, long-term mental complications or even death.
Because a traumatic brain injury can significantly alter the lives of the victim, family, and friends, it is best for everyone to use the following resources to learn best how to cope, recover, and adjust to any life changes.
