There is no exact formula to produce a specific set sum. However, attorneys, juries and insurance companies will consider the following factors to determine the answer to that question.  Some of these factors include evaluating the injury itself, how the injury has impacted your life, the amount of past medical bills, whether said injury has healed or has the injury resulted in a permanent injury, whether future medical treatment will be required, what was the amount of lost wages, what is the amount of future lost wages, and what is the effect the injury has had on the injured persons relationship, work and life activities.
