Next, ask them what their rating is on www.Avvo.com, the premier lawyer-rating site. If their rating is less than 9, pass. Ask to see their reviews on Social media like Yelp, Google, and other social media sites. IF past client’s don’t rate them well, it’s a bad bet they’ll change and do well on your case.

 

Finally, look at their past verdicts and settlements. Do they have the ability to obtain large judgments or settlements? Your case may not be as valuable, but seeing that the lawyer has the capability to receive a large judgment or settlement is important.
